WHAT ARE YOU CRAVING???
Primary Food™: It’s easy to overlook all of the things that contribute to our sense of nourishment and fulfillment. It’s not just the food we eat, but all of the other factors present in our daily lives. Healthy relationships, a fulfilling career, regular physical activity and a spiritual awareness are essential forms of nourishment. When these “primary foods” are balanced, what you eat becomes secondary. I will support you in achieving all of your goals, from eating the right foods for your body to living an inspired, fulfilling life.
That said, I would like to share with you my feelings about “secondary” food, because we all love it, we all need it, and most of us are confused about it.
So, I believe in food that doesn’t come from factories. I believe in real food. Traditional food. Food the way it used to be, before people came up with the idea of adding fake things to it that our bodies don’t need, or even want. (Think red dye 40, maltodextrin, aspartame, partially hydrogenated soybean oil, and monosodium glutamate to name just a few of millions of harmful preservatives that are snuck into packaged “food” on our grocery shelves.)
When big companies took over what we were eating and started making fake food imitations that we were never meant to consume, like vegetable shortening, margarine, and soybean oil, people started getting pretty messed up. We never used to have such a widespread epidemic of issues like childhood diabetes, widespread autoimmune disorders, metabolic syndrome, ADD, ADHD, Autism, Schizophrenia, or even heart disease! (Many people still believe that our great-grandparents were dying of heart disease, which is actually a myth.)
That’s why I think it’s so important to go back to the way things were before we were all so fat, sick, depressed and miserable. Food should come from farms. Dinner should be made in kitchens. Families should be nourished, not merely fed.
Allow me to encourage you to break some rules now!
